Doing a 4-7-8 breathwork meditation exercise involves inhaling for 4 seconds, holding your breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling for 8 seconds. This is repeated several times.
Deep, rhythmic breathing may have multiple benefits, including:

- helping a person get to sleep
- managing cravings
- reducing anger responses
Scripture Meditation Choose a verse from the Bible and meditate on its meaning. This is when I ask God to lead me in my Bible to what he wants me to work on. Once God shows you, reflect on how it applies to your current situation and let it guide your thoughts and actions. Ask yourself, “What is the Lord teaching me.” The best practice is to write it down in a prayer journal. This practice can bring comfort and insight, helping you navigate daily challenges through life. Then at any point in time, you can review how the Lord has brought you through difficult journeys and watch your testimonies grow.
2. Gratitude Journaling
Gratitude journaling is a powerful mindfulness tool that aligns perfectly with faith-based practices. By focusing on the positive aspects of life, you can shift your perspective and cultivate a more grateful heart.
Daily Entries: Every evening, write down three things you are grateful for in your gratitude journal. These can be simple joys or significant blessings. If you start to struggle during the day, get back out of your gratitude journal to remind yourself of what you are thankful for and get yourself out of that funk.
